Exterior House Painting Auckland
Auckland House Being Painted
The painting of the exterior of a building is one of the most important means of protecting your most important asset.
It is therefore important to have the job done well – and the most important thing in an exterior repaint is the preparation. If a paint system fails, 90% of the time it is because it was not prepared properly in the first place. Our focus at Andrew and Mason is to do the preparation properly and then the job will last. Many people ask us about whether the house should be sprayed or brushed. Quite simply, if the house is not prepared properly, the paint will come off either way. If it is prepared properly, it will stay on.
The process with exterior house painting is:
- Water blast or soft wash as best suited to the job
- Prepare the surfaces as required by each surface
- Fill all the holes and cracks.
- Paint all surfaces with the correct Dulux/Resene paint system following the manufacturer’s specification.
